Glossary.
Maybe you’re already familiar with these terms, maybe not, but since each practitioner has a unique understanding of them, I thought I’d include my own so you know what I mean when I throw them out there.
Psychic. Being psychic means being able to read and translate vibrational energy into words, messages, and meanings. A psychic reading means the practitioner is going to give you intuitive information about you, your present circumstance and energetic needs.
Mediumship. Mediums do the same thing as psychics, but specifically pick up on the energies of individuals who have passed on. A mediumistic reading is going to include a connection with a loved one who has passed on and, if you're lucky, multiple.
Sitter. The sitter refers to the client or person being read or “sitting” before the psychic medium.
Guides/Spirit Team. Each person’s individual entourage of higher consciousnesses, invested in their greatest good, available 24/7 for personalized guidance/comfort. More info on guides in my FAQs page.
Colors. What some call the aura or energy field, I call the soul color. It speaks to the nature of the individual, and can be very helpful, both in decoding one’s personality and life path, and in positively identifying loved ones who have passed on. More info on colours in my FAQs page.
The Whole. This is my go-to word for God, Universe, What Is, etc. Though we may perceive ourselves as separate from this, in actuality, you, I, every tree, every rock, every drop of water, every star and planet in the sky, are all merely aspects of one great consciousness.
Spirit. An unspecified term for a helper from the other side. If I were to say "Spirit helped me come up with a list of books to read," Spirit could refer to an ancestor or passed loved one, my own higher consciousness, my guides, God. Sometimes, it isn’t exactly clear who’s giving you help, and it isn’t always important to know.
